
Astronautical Society of India along with Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is going to host International Astronautical Congress (IAC) for the second time in India. After 39th IAC at Bangalore in 1988, the historic city of Hyderabad has got the honour to host 58th Session of this most prestigious event of Astronautics in September 2007. This event will Inaugurate on 21st September and will end on 28th.
The theme of the Congress is "Touching Humanity: Space for improving quality of life"
About 2000 space professionals, journalists and students engaged in space activities all over the world will participate in this week-long Congress.

Fee Structure:
For Students: On or before Sep. 18: Rs. 3000; on site: Rs. 3750
Young Professional: On or before Sep 18: Rs. 7500; On site: 9000
Students are required to submit their copy of bonafied certificate issued by academic institution or valid identity card.
Professionals who are no longer in employment and are prepared to make at least one presentation on their experience to a student or public group within six months of the submission of application are eligible to register at a concessional registration fee. They must provide an undertaking (as provided in the registration form) on their claims supporting the above criteria. Each registrant under the category of Retired Persons is entitled to enroll ONE Accompanying Person along with his/her registration at no extra cost.
Also ISRO is going to sponsor 50 bright students to attend the event. For this they are taking some rounds of test. You visit iac website to get more information.
