Khagol Mandal is going to arrange whole night public star party on 19th May at Vangni (next station to Badlapur). There is a nominal fee of Rs. 50 for adults and Rs. 30 for children for the program.
There will be observational sessions in which you will learn about the Rashis, Nakshatras and Constellations and many more information about stars, galaxies and other deep sky objects. Also you are going to observe some objects like Saturn, Jupiter and some other deep sky objects through big telescopes and binoculars. You will also have one slideshow presentaion and one question answer session. Tea will also be served two times. What you need to bring there is your tiffin (dinner), water bottle and also one matt for sitting (or sleeping if you want to).
There is one another reson for choosing 19th may. One international institution named Sidewalk Astronomers is going to arrange such programs worldwide on 19th May and Khagol Mandal is the Indian coordinator for this event. On 19th night almost about 2000 telescopes worldwide are going to look at the beautiful night sky.
